The basket, with wet produce, is placed into the spinner cradle. The timer is pre-set with the required run times. On closing the perspex lid the spinner commences operation in one direction, stops, then spins again in the opposite direction and ceases when the timer runs out. The lid is opened and basket is removed. The spinner is fitted with a brake motor. If the lid is opened during a spin cycle, the brake motor is immediately engaged and the spinner stops. Waste water leaves the cabinet via an outlet at the base.
