The product needs to be cut to the required length first, then loaded into the feed chamber of the baton cutter. On closing the lid the pneumatic ram is activated and a pusher block pushes the product through the cutting grid then retracts. The lid is opened and the feed chamber filled again. The cut size is easily changed by changing the cutting grid and matching pusher block. A safety is fitted so that the lid cannot be opened whilst the ram is in operation.
